Leheny Gibson Chardonnay 2014
Tasted January 2017
The 2014 season in the Yarra Valley was a concentrated year, with very low yields, but very high quality.
"Some nice funk/reduction characters. The fruit is a bit more obvious in this wine. More youthful.
Great line and length and a bit tighter.
18.5/20 Raymond Chan (19 July 2017) "The palate is mouthwatering and carries to a long, lingering, tightly bound finish."
5 Stars 95 points Sam Kim, Wine Orbit (17/07/2017) "This is fabulously good; inviting aromas of white stone fruit, lemon peel, almond, flint and nougat lead to a beautifully focused palate that is finely textured and elegantly poised. ."
93 Points Bob Campbell MW (24 August 2017) "Impressively textured and complex wine that promises to develop well in bottle."
