2022 Trelinnoe Vineyard Chardonnay
A single vineyard Chardonnay from Trelinnoe (tree-lin-o) Vineyard on Roys Hill named for the owner’s historical ties to Cornwall in the United Kingdom.
The Roys Hill hillside terraces are sandstone over limestone and are planted with clone UCD15 Chardonnay.
Trelinnoe Vineyard Chardonnay is a part of our project to highlight some of the most unique, small vineyards in Hawke’s Bay.
The front label is a stylised representation of the aerial view of the vineyard.

"On the nose, the 2022 Trelinnoe Chardonnay is restrained and yet builds momentum in the mouth; this emphasizes what is going on aromatically. On the palate, are salted nuts, smokehouse almonds, yellow peach, red appl skins, a hint of tarragon and cumin seeds, layers of clove and star anise. This is exotic, rich and savory. There's lovely acid through the finish."
